I attended the five year Mater’s OT program at Misericordia University in Dallas, PA where I received an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences in May 2018 and will be graduating in May 2019 with my Master's in OT! I completed my second level II fieldwork with ESC Therapy in the fall of 2018. My favorite thing about the early intervention/home health setting is knowing that children we treat view therapy as just playing - it's so rewarding to see how excited they are for therapy! The most surprising thing about this setting was the meaningful bonds created with the families throughout treatment. I loved being able to collaborate with them to foster their children’s success!
I am getting my Masters of Occupational Therapy at the Medical University of South Carolina. I completed my Level 1 pediatric fieldwork with ESC Therapy in the Spring of 2019. My favorite thing about this setting was the wide varieties of diagnoses that are seen every day. It was neat to learn about new diagnoses and how to treat them. The most surprising thing about this setting was learning about how many families are in need of therapy, but since they are in such rural areas, without ESC they might not have ever received therapy. I prepared for this setting by reviewing milestones for birth to 3-year-old children and reviewed the administration of the Peabody.
